SURABAYA, INDONESIA – The Dementia and Aging Care Research Center (DACRC), Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Airlangga, organized the Seminar ELICIT: Artificial Intelligence for Learning Innovation on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. The event aimed to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration and promote the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education and health research.

The seminar brought together lecturers, researchers, and students to discuss the growing role of AI in improving academic productivity and learning experiences. Participants explored how AI-based platforms can support literature reviews, data processing, and interactive learning design in higher education. The session also emphasized the importance of responsible AI use to ensure ethical and inclusive educational practices.

Integrating AI into Education and Research

During the seminar, speakers demonstrated the use of digital research tools such as Elicit and other AI-driven systems that enhance research efficiency and innovation. Participants gained hands-on experience in utilizing AI to manage references, summarize scientific papers, and identify research gaps.

The discussion also highlighted AI’s potential to support interdisciplinary collaboration in health and social sciences. By integrating technology into research workflows, participants learned how AI could bridge data-driven insights with nursing and dementia care innovations.
